  • What is Permanent Makeup?

Have you ever wished you could be less dependent on cosmetics and still look great? Now there is a way. Permanent Cosmetics is a process of gently depositing pigment (color) just beneath the epidermis of the skin. By accentuating the eyes, eyebrows, or lips, Permanent Cosmetics enhances one’s own natural beauty. By using the gentle SofTap® method, you will experience comfort and security in the most sanitary conditions while achieving a natural, beautiful and permanent look.
  • How long will it last?

While Permanent Cosmetics are essentially “permanent,” the effects of aging, surgeries, or sun exposure may alter the pigment’s appearance over time. You may need a “refresher” appointment every year or two to keep your makeup looking its best.
  • Is it painful?

Although everyone’s comfort level varies, the application of permanent makeup involves some minor discomfort. Topical anesthetic is used to numb the area to be enhanced.
  • Is it safe?

Yes. Pigments used in Permanent Cosmetics have an extensive record of safety. They have been used in both medical and artistic fields for over 35 years. Permanent Cosmetics are applied using the highest sanitation and sterilization standards available. All implements, tools and supplies are 100% disposable. Sterile surgical steel single-use needles are used with every client.
  • What to expect

Immediately after the procedure some swelling and redness may occur. The application of ice to the area can help reduce these symptoms. Your enhancement will appear darker than it will after it has healed completely.
Within a few days after the application most swelling and tenderness will be gone. There may be a slight flaking as the skin sloughs off the pigment trapped in the dermis.
By a month to 45 days healing should be complete. You may add to or adjust your procedure to suit your lifestyle. Using sunscreen and good sun sense will help preserve your permanent makeup for years to come.
